Dr. Wiley is Assistant Professor in the Cognitive Psychology Program and the Director of the Cognitive and Neural Science of Learning Lab at UNCG. His research is aimed at understanding how learning affects perception and how cognitive psychology can be used to improve learning outcomes, primarily in the domain of written language. He has published widely and was recently a guest expert on “Forum,” hosted by Mina Kim on San Francisco’s NPR station KQED, as well as in UNCG Research Magazine: https://researchmagazine.uncg.edu/spring-2022/learning-by-hand/.
