What drew you to pursue Religious Studies as an academic interest?

I was drawn to Religious Studies because I feel that understanding the beliefs of others allows me to understand the world better.

How does the study of religion compliment your personal and academic goals?

Religious studies allows me to speak openly about my personal and academic beliefs openly and with others who have an equal understanding and respect.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

After graduation I plan on further pursuing my dream of becoming a makeup artist.

What are your favorite things about the UNCG Religious Studies Department?

My favorite aspect of the Religious Studies Department is the open minded nature of both the students and the faculty.

Name an interesting thing you learned in a Religious Studies course?

The most interesting things I have learned in my courses are the various beliefs of the other students within the major. It allows for a great discussion and interpretation of texts, beliefs and religions themselves.

What would you recommend to your friends about taking religious studies courses?

I would recommend that my friends take religious studies classes only if they are prepared to listen to others who may have different opinions other than their own.
